Mi NoteBook 2020: Made for India.
Today lets talk about the Mi NoteBook Horizon Edition which is launched on 11th June 2020. Lets Discuss if you should buy this laptop...? who should buy this laptop...? and look in deep specification and drawbacks which are hidden by the company.
Mi NoteBook Launch.
On 11th of June 2020, Mi Launched its various NoteBook series laptops via a launch event which was held online on YouTube platform, So lets Start.
Design:
Mi Notebook 14 as well the 14 Horizon Edition is with the premium and elegant light weight Design which xiaomi calls it a Feather Light Design. Talking about the build quality the laptop is made of the aluminium alloy, which is used in making Aeroplanes which make it rigid and light weight. so there's no doubt in the build quality and Design.
Screen:
Mi NoteBook Horizon Edition has an immersive display with very thin Bezels of just 3mm, With Full HD resolution and the brightness of 250 nits which is pretty good. also the anti glare screen makes it visible in the sunshine and also the direct light on the screen of the laptop. Drawback of the anti glare screen is it makes the colors look dull compared to that of the glossy screens. so you all might wondering that how can a camera i.e. webcam be in such a small bezels, so let me tell you all that there is no camera in the laptop but as it is an important accessory of the laptop in making online meetings, attending online lectures, etc. Xiaomi provides the separate Mi Webcam included in the box.
Internal Storage and RAM:
Mi NoteBook Horizon Edition Comes with the 512GB of internal storage which is SSD (NVMe) which makes it fast transfer and is more secure than that of the traditional Hard Disks. considering about the ram Mi NoteBook Horizon Edition comes with the latest DDR4 RAM of 8GB with the frequency of 2666 MHz which is good enough. So in this case its quite disappointing to have a 512 GB Of internal in this era where 1TB is the trend.
Processor:
So the processor in this laptops are good with descent performance which is i5 and i7 both are latest 10 Gen Processors from intel, So look for this section clearly that even this laptop has i7 processor they are not ideal for gaming and doing extra heavy task which is also the reason for the huge battery backup of 10 Hrs, cause these are the U Series Processors from Intel which are made for thin and light laptops like Mi NoteBook they are not the worst, in fact they are pretty good, but considering the one with heavy and bulky laptops i7 is to the next level.
The Laptop can run the GTA 5 at medium graphics with 45 FPS on average, but when you will try to play red redemption game on this laptop it will definitely going to lagged up.
So its Not Good Not bad like situation in this section.
Graphics:
This laptop comes with the NVIDIA GeForce MX350, which makes it only laptop with this Graphics card and it is of 2 GB. Which I personally think that is on the weaker side where other laptops in the market provides NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 one of the top graphics card in the same price.
Price:
Pricing of this laptop is same as other laptop brand are with, so the main question arises is why should we buy Mi Laptops when there are many other reputed brands in the market as xiaomi has the fame for best budget gadgets but seems like disappearing ow a days.
so price for the Mi Notebook Horizon Edition with i5 Processor is 54999/-
and that of the Mi Notebook Horizon Edition with i7 Processor is 59999/- you can use HDFC Bank credit or debit card to get inaugural offer of 2000/-
laptop is great in its segment premium design except for storage and graphics card, which I think is the ideal laptop for those who aren't on the heavy work this is not meant to be for heavy work you can multitask with this but no heavy work. Second is travel who want their laptop with them as a travel partner here is the best choice for those, cause of its light weight design and durability. Third thing to consider is for students yes this is the great laptop for students it can make up with your school activities like coding, making ppt, but a big no for those who are in editing section it cant run heavy task adobe Photoshop, auto-cad, this laptop can only run them and meet basic requirements of those heavy software's.
